Ibiza is an island that offers much more than its famous parties. With its stunning beaches, charming villages, and historical sites, there’s always something unique to discover. In this guide you’ll find my lis of Ibiza Must-see places; I’ll take you on a journey through the must-see places that make this destination a true paradise.
Located in the Balearic Islands (Spain) and known as the “White Island” of the Mediterranean for its whitewashed buildings and breathtaking sunsets, Ibiza is a cosmopolitan territory with major tourist attractions: UNESCO World Heritage sites, vibrant artisan markets, charming villages, and excellent seafood-based cuisine.

When to visit Ibiza
During peak season (June – July – August), Ibiza can be quite expensive, but if you travel off-season or book several months in advance, you can experience all its wonders without breaking the bank. I recommend visiting at the beginning of May or mid-September, when the temperatures are still warm, but there’s no overwhelming party crowd. You’ll be able to find a spot on the beach and easily get a table at restaurants without waiting in long lines or navigating through towels!
How to get to Ibiza
The best way to get to Ibiza is by plane. The airport is only 5 kilometers from the main city, and I recommend renting a car to explore the island. Thanks to the dates we chose and the excellent car rental service (doyouspain.com), we only spent €9.90 for 5 days of vacation! If you want to embrace the adventurous spirit of Ibiza, renting a scooter is also a great option—it’s convenient and you can park it anywhere, avoiding parking stress!
Eivissa – Ibiza
The historic center of Dalt Vila is the old town of Eivissa (Ibiza), declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, and surrounded by 16th-century walls. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places to see.
This old district is characterized by its narrow, steep, cobblestone streets. As you walk through them, you’ll discover its charming corners. Don’t miss the Cathedral, Plaza de la Vila, the Town Hall, local restaurants, and craft shops. It’s also worth climbing the bastions of the city walls to enjoy panoramic views of the town and the sea. The area has a vibrant nightlife, with many cocktail bars. Nearby, you’ll find some of the island’s most famous nightclubs, including Pacha, Amnesia, Ushuaia, and Privilege…

Where to see the best sunsets in Ibiza
Watching the sunset in Ibiza is an unmissable experience, and several spots offer spectacular views. Cala Comte is one of the most famous places, where you can enjoy the sunset from Sunset Ashram, a bar set on a natural terrace above the white sand, with relaxing music and a magical atmosphere.
Another captivating option is Cala de Benirràs, a cove surrounded by nature, known for its hippie vibe and the drums that accompany the sunset. For a more peaceful setting, head to Punta Galera, a less touristy cove, though access is a bit more challenging. Each location offers a unique and unforgettable sunset experience.

If you prefer a comfortable experience, you can watch the sunset while enjoying a cocktail at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni de Portmany, one of the most famous beach bars in the world.
Last but not least, the Es Vedrà viewpoint. Es Vedrà is a 382-meter-tall islet located 2 kilometers off the coast. It is one of the most magical places to see in Ibiza, surrounded by mystery and legends. Every day, locals and tourists gather at the Cala D´Hort beach or the Torre de Es Savinar to admire the panoramic views and one of the most breathtaking sunsets on the island.

Ibiza’s Best Beaches
Among Ibiza’s natural wonders, its coves with turquoise waters and white sand are among the most enchanting. Here are some of the most famous ones:
- Cala Salada: golden sand and crystal-clear waters, surrounded by rocks and pine trees. For more peace and quiet, you can head to the nearby Cala Saladeta.
- Cala Vadella: turquoise waters and fine sand, sheltered by rocky cliffs. It’s very popular and a must-see.
- Cala Bassa: one of the most beautiful beaches, surrounded by lush greenery, with shallow waters perfect for snorkeling.
- Sa Caleta: a quiet beach with reddish sand and rocks, located on a small cliff in the south of the island.
- Cala Aubarca: famous for its impressive natural stone arch.
Other stunning coves include Cala Comte, Cala Benirrás, Cala Molí, Cala Gracioneta, Cala Xarraca, and Aigües Blanques.

Sant Antoni de Portmany
Sant Antoni, the second-largest town on the island, known for its vibrant nightlife, is another must-visit destination. In addition to the sunset, which you can enjoy at Café del Mar, and the parties at famous clubs like Eden and Es Paradis, the town boasts a beautiful harbor and a long promenade where you can admire the “Egg of Columbus”—a monument honoring Christopher Columbus, the discoverer of the Americas. The monument is shaped like an egg with a hole in the center, where a mini model of the Santa María Caravel is placed.
This promenade is lined with shops, restaurants, and terraces that fill with tourists every summer.

Ibiza’s Charming Villages
Here are three of the most beautiful villages in Ibiza:
- Santa Eulalia: with its white houses, seafront promenade, and views from Puig de Missa hill.
- Santa Agnés de Corona: one of the smallest towns in Ibiza, known for its typical Ibizan architecture and a 18th-century church.
- Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera: a tranquil town in the island’s interior, perfect for strolling its quiet streets.

Ses Salines Natural Park
The Ses Salines Natural Park, which stretches from the south of the island to the north of Formentera, is another iconic place to visit. It’s a protected area of 16,000 hectares, 13,000 of which are marine. A true wonder for its ancient salt flats, rich biodiversity, crystal-clear bays, and vibrant seabeds. The most famous spot is the eponymous Ses Salines beach, one of the island’s most beautiful and glamorous, with dunes and transparent waters.
A Trip to Formentera
A trip to Formentera is a must! If you have an extra day, make sure to visit this island.
To get from Ibiza to Formentera, you can take a ferry, which takes about half an hour to an hour, depending on the boat. Ferries depart from the Port of Ibiza or Playa d’en Bossa. Once on Formentera, we recommend renting a scooter for easy exploration—this will help you avoid the stressful high-season traffic!

…And the Nightlife?
If you haven’t had enough, Ibiza offers an unparalleled nightlife with clubs and discotheques open all night long! Among my favorites are Bora Bora, Pacha, El Paradis, and Ushuaia. The latter is definitely my top pick for its music, primarily house and techno. But what impressed me most was the season-opening event: acrobatic shows, strobe lights, and circus performances made it one of the wildest nights I’ve ever experienced! In short, Ibiza’s nightlife is no joke—they know how to stun with special effects!
