Stay in a Wonderful Historic Residence in Italy: Villa Conti in Pisa

Stay in a Historic Residence immersed in the Tuscan countryside, among rolling hills and green plains.
Welcome to Villa Conti: an elegant Stately Manor Villa, perfect for couples, solo travelers, and anyone seeking inspiration, nature, discretion, and relaxation in a refined setting; in the Pisa area in Italy
The hectic pace of everyday life, days spent juggling work and personal commitments, city nights without stars… And then suddenly arriving here, where time slows down, allowing space for silence and the long-awaited peace for both body and spirit.
This was my experience when I arrived at Villa Conti, an ancient dwelling restored with dedication and love. A delightful corner of paradise for those who dream of losing themselves in the enchanting and invigorating embrace of nature.

COSA TROVERAI IN QUESTO POST:
Arriving at Villa Conti
Reaching this Historic Residence means traveling along tranquil country roads surrounded by lush greenery, passing through the medieval village of Fauglia, in the province of Pisa. Despite its proximity to the town, the only sound accompanying this majestic Italian Villa is birds chirping.
The first impression one gets is precisely this: tranquility and detachment from the turbulence of everyday thoughts.

The Villa
There is no definitive record of when this stunning Stately Manor Villa was built, but it seems that as early as the Middle Ages, it formed a small independent hamlet along with the other small buildings at the front.
It was certainly the luxurious home of local nobility, though there is no exact source indicating whether it dates back to the 1500s or 1600s. What is known is that this place became the nerve center for the foundation of Fauglia itself, just a few hundred meters from the entrance.
Following several renovations over the centuries, the residence was enhanced with the construction of the iconic Tower, presumably in the 1800s. This tower still dominates the valley today, offering a splendid view of the countryside and the village.
In the 2000s, Villa Conti was converted into an accommodation facility by its previous owners, including a presumed descendant of the Templars, who incorporated this theme into the adjacent guesthouse next to the parking area.

Style and Decor
Classic yet contemporary. This is how I would describe the style and decor of the Villa’s interiors. The presence of antique elements with opulent and intricate lines is softened by ample empty spaces and delicate colors.
A perfect example is found in the reception area, where the room is airy and bright, despite the presence of classic furnishings such as a wooden table with upholstered chairs, a crystal chandelier, and paintings adorning the walls.
Unique artworks enrich the entire residence, with paintings and frescoes on the ceilings in the common areas and some guest rooms on the first floor. These artistic details, sometimes classical and sometimes eclectic, enhance the uniqueness of the entire Historic Residence.

The Garden and the View
The garden at the back is a natural terrace overlooking the valley’s greenery. Here, a gazebo has been set up with several tables, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the delights of breakfast, meals from the La Mirage restaurant, or a fantastic aperitif at sunset.
Right in front of the gazebo, you’ll find the swimming pool, ideal for a refreshing swim with a view—just what you need on the hottest days!
The garden at Villa Conti is certainly the perfect place to admire the stars on clear nights, in complete relaxation, sipping a glass of wine.

Hospitality and Service
The “Villa Conti” project is dedicated to offering visitors to the Pisa province the best hospitality, paying attention to every detail to provide an unforgettable experience.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the concierge, who quickly handled the check-in procedure and accompanied us to our room.
All the staff members stand out for their absolute professionalism and the discreet charm of five-star hospitality, combined with the renowned Tuscan warmth.
The Room: Junior Suite Deluxe
My room was very spacious and bathed in natural light. I believe it was the only one with a total of four windows. It featured a sleeping area and a charming small lounge.
The decor was predominantly white and comfortable, with romantic touches like a baroque-framed mirror and a large four-poster bed with soft, flowing white curtains.
The room included many small details that enhanced its overall value: high-quality courtesy sets presented in elegant branded jute pouches, a Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary capsules, plush bed linens, and antique-style furnishings that highlighted the villa’s strong identity and commitment to its brand.

The Restaurant
A perfect pairing of excellence. On the ground floor of Villa Conti, you’ll find the restaurant “La Mirage Osteria Contemporanea,” led by Executive Chef Chiara Daveri, who delights guests with dishes that blend tradition and the region’s gastronomic excellence with a contemporary twist.
The restaurant is a true gem, perfectly integrated into this setting, and deserves special mention for the quality of its service, ingredients, and culinary offerings. The gourmet dishes provide guests with a unique dining experience of the highest level.
An abundant breakfast is also served at the restaurant, directly at the table.
A special mention goes to Mauro, Chef de Rang at La Mirage Osteria Contemporanea, whose deep knowledge of wines and impeccable service made every meal a pleasure, offering guests the perfect wine pairings for their menu choices.
