This way, we can explore the city without the burden of suitcases, fully enjoying our travel experience until the very last minute. This guide and my review of Bounce come from my own extremely positive experience.

Through the platform, you can quickly find a secure nearby location, such as partnered shops and hotels, where you can leave your bags for a few hours or an entire day.

I find it perfect for situations like:

• Early morning check-outs when your flight is in the evening, but you have to leave your BnB.
• Early arrivals before check-in at the hotel.
• Day trips or short excursions when you don’t want to carry your carry-on luggage and backpack with you.

How to use Bounce: Step-by-step guide

1. Download the App: Bounce is available on iOS and Android. Once installed, create an account in just a few minutes.
2. Enter your location: Open the app and type in the city or allow geolocation to immediately see nearby storage locations.
3. Choose your preferred location: The map displays all partnered storage points nearby. Clicking on each one provides detailed information such as opening hours and user reviews.
4. Book and pay: After choosing your location, select how many bags you will store, choose the storage duration, and pay directly through the app.

This way, you know everything in advance without having to pay on-site. The pricing considers the type of luggage:

• Small: for purses or tote bags
• Regular: for standard-sized carry-on luggage and backpacks
• Oversized: for surfboards, bicycles, golf bags, and other large equipment

And the storage duration, for example, from 11 AM to 6 PM on the same day.

5. Drop off your luggage while traveling: At the scheduled time, go to your chosen location and show your booking on your phone.

Why is Bounce so convenient? My experience in Porto

The first time I used Bounce was in Porto, and it was a really positive experience! We had to check out of our B&B at 10:30 AM, but our flight was scheduled for 8:00 PM. So, I opened the app and immediately found several nearby locations where we could store our luggage. I checked the closest ones, read the reviews, and verified the opening hours.

In the end, I booked a spot at a souvenir shop just 200 meters from our location, below Igreja dos Clérigos, which had an excellent rating of 4.9 out of 5.

The app asked me how many bags I had and how many hours I needed storage for. I paid directly through the app with my credit card: for two carry-on luggage and backpack, we spent €17.50.

Half an hour later, at the scheduled drop-off time, we arrived at the shop, where the staff attached coded security tags to our bags, photographed them for registration, and gave us a receipt for easy pickup.

It was simple, quick, and secure! Without the weight of our luggage, we enjoyed our last day in the city with complete peace of mind.

At 6:00 PM, we returned to the shop with our receipt, and in less than two minutes, they handed us back our bags, intact and sealed.
